Looks like Lucky Seven isn't that lucky after all…

The new ABC fall dramedy is the dreaded first cancellation of the 2013-2014 TV season, E! News has confirmed. Lucky Seven may have only been on the air for a total of two weeks, but its unlucky ratings were not enough to save the freshman series from the dreaded chopping block.

The lottery-themed show lost 50 percent of its already minimal viewers in their second week and fell to a cringe-worthy 0.7 in the demo ratings. Yikes! As of now, ABC has no plans to air the rest of the episodes that the Lucky Seven cast and crew has already filmed.

Not to worry though, it's Scandal to the rescue! Starting on Oct. 8, ABC will be replacing the Tuesday-night 10 p.m. time slot with Scandal encores because let's be honest, there's no such thing as too much Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington)!

ABC's megahit Scandal premiered last night with its highly anticipated third season. In addition to taking over social media, the political drama scored a jaw-dropping 10.5 million, making it the most watched episode in Scandal history. Way to go, gladiators!
