Keifer Sutherland, 24

It's Jack Bauer, guv'nor! (Kind of like "It's Britney, bitch," but not really).

Twentieth Century Fox Television announced today that the 24 miniseries, 24: Live Another Day, is set to film in London.

"24 has always had such a global sensibility," star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland says in a statement. "But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe's history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating. Hopefully, by the time you're finished watching an episode, you'll feel like you've been there...on the edge of your seat."

24: Live Another Day was announced during this year's network Upfronts and will premiere in the Spring 2014 as a limited 12-episode series.

"It will go chronologically over the day, but it will skip hours. It will be dictated by the plot," Fox boss Kevin Reilly explained during the Summer TCA Press Tour. "The spine of the original 24 episodes was about 12 hours. Those were when the big events occurred, and then there were little events and connective tissue in between."

So why London? Executive producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto explain.

"We wanted the show's return to be an event, and part of that was putting Jack in a very different context. Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we're going to pick him up four years later in London," Katz says.

Coto adds: "Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We've shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town—but now we're in London and Jack's loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys."

Psyched for the return of Jack Bauer? We are.
