Lena Dunham Looks Like a Peeled Banana

The Girls star steps out in some yellow fruit-themed fashion

We're sorry, but there's no clearer way to put it: Lena Dunham looks like a very ripe banana that's been peeled open on one side—namely her back side.

This Rebecca Minkoff frock already had us staring on account of the super bold color, but when we saw that gaping hole above her butt, we instantly got visions of the famous floppy fruit. See how the skirt ruffle kind of looks like the ripples of the peel? Right, sorry, you get it at this point...

Frankly, we're bummed because we thought the talented triple threat was finally trying a simple sheath on for size. Yes, it's an over-the-top color not at all appropriate for fall, and yes, she paired it with ankle boots that don't match in any way, but it's a step up from the "Worst Dressed List" Emmy earner we saw her in last.

Then we saw her from the flip side.

Looks like it's another learning year for Lena, fashion-wise. Though it's nice to finally see every single one of her tattoos...
