Does mother really know best?

CBS's new fall comedy Mom finally premiered tonight, introducing viewers to Chuck Lorre's latest addition in his plan to single-handedly take over all of television. Starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney as two recently sober women trying to mend the relationships in their lives, Mom is an edgy look at the trials and tribulations of motherhood.

We're intrigued to know your thoughts on CBS's newest dysfunctional leading ladies. Did Mom give you feelings of love and affection or were you left feeling smothered from all the jokes? That is the question we're asking you in our latest Save It or Sink It poll...

Christy (Faris) is a waitress, a single mother, and a former alcoholic. Now Christy is trying pull her life together and mend the strained relationships with her sexually active daughter and frustratingly forgetful son.

Despite being centered on Christy, the real star of the show is Bonnie (Janney), her estranged and overly flirtatious mother. What Christy lacks in likeability, her mother makes up for in charm and humor. In our review of Mom, we compared the new CBS comedy to a scoop of vanilla icing: It's sweet and enjoyable, but despite its admirable attempt, it'll leave you craving something a little bit more exciting.

With the addition of future guest stars Octavia Spencer and Justin Long, Mom has the potential to be a fun quirky comedy, but will you continue to watch? Vote in our latest Save It or Sink It poll and then head on down to the comments to discuss Mom with your fellow TV lovers.
