The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are only two days away!

The show's host, Neil Patrick Harris, stopped by The Talk early Friday to dish some details on his upcoming gig.

"It's a fun awards show, because it honors television and all of the people that are there are in their own little bubble worlds," he explained on the show.

"I'm just trying to keep the flow alive," he added. "My goal isn't to outperform or show off, my job is to make sure things are moving smoothly."

And while the host was hesitant to reveal too much about what's in store for viewers this Sunday, he did touch upon some of the night's biggest performers.

"We have a performance by Elton John who has never performed at the Emmys before," he said. "He's doing a number from his new album, which is amazing."

NPH seemed eager about the future show adding, "Carrie Underwood is going to be performing a number on it. That's a lot, plus there's 26 awards."

So what is one awesomely new detail about this year's Emmy Awards?

"I'm dancing like mad in this one," the How I Met Your Mother actor admitted.

He also shared that this year the Best Choreographer award will be handed out during the primetime show, rather than at a ceremony held weeks prior.

"We thought with the success of dancing shows on TV, and that the talent is so strong and everyone loves dance so much, why not give the choreographers award on primetime?"

It turns out that the host gave all five nominees a challenge to choreograph separate numbers with him involved, set to live music, as a way to honor their skills at the main show.

That sounds exciting!
