Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert

The 2013 ACM Awards are just around the corner, and country crooner Miranda Lambert has snagged herself a number of nominations this year.

"I was sittin' at home with my mom and dad and we woke up early to watch it on TV, but it was different this year, it wasn't on TV," Lambert exclusively told E! News. "So, I was kinda like, 'Oh, crap. I can lay in bed and look at Twitter.' So, we were drinking coffee and my mom was reading the Twitter feed, so I just found out like everybody else."

There's no doubt Miranda was more than pleased with the news once she heard what she was up for, including another shot at the night's top prize, Entertainer of the Year.

"It's really important to be nominated for Entertainer of the Year and it doesn't happen that often for women and so I'm really proud to be in it as a woman entertainer—but not only that, I don't think I'm ready to win," she explained.

"I don't think it's my year yet, but I'm just so thrilled to have my name in there because the more you have your name in there, the more chance you have to get there and get that trophy one day. Everybody that's in that category works so hard."

Interestingly, one of the artists also vying for the award is her husband, Blake Shelton.

Lambert admitted that they place bets on who might win, but they take their own names out of the running. "We have bets on other people," she told us. (One or the other—or neither—will collect on April 7 when the ACM Awards play out in Nashville.)

Meanwhile, Shelton and Lambert's "Over You" has earned the 29-year-old nominations for singing and songwriting, which means a lot to the star.

"As a songwriter, I've always had a goal and a dream of being nominated as a writer for a song of the year. I was fortunate enough to have 'House That Built Me' win Song of the Year, but I didn't write it, I was just lucky enough to sing it," Miranda told us.

"But nomination for Song of the Year as a writer and an artist, is kind of crazy. And it's not only special because I wrote the song, I wrote it with my husband over something so personal, and it's one of those songs that you write and you go, 'Well, I hope people can relate to this.'"

Watch the clip to see what else she had to say and tune in to E! News at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. for more on Miranda.
