Watch: Jake Davidson on Taking Kate Upton to Prom

The big night is months away, but Jake Davidson is already prom king.

"It was incredible. I was like, elation, I don't even know the [word]. It was surreal," the 17-year-old senior at Milken Community High School in Bel Air, Calif., exclusively told E! News when asked how it felt to actually hear Kate Upton respond to his YouTube invitation to be his date to the prom.

"I was, like, Wow, this is actually happening?" recalled Davidson, who was being interviewed on Today when Upton called in to tell him she would "love to go" with him if her schedule allows.

Noting how he appeared speechless when he heard Upton's voice, Davidson said that he actually had it all figured out—in his head.

"I knew exactly what I was going to say, very smooth. It just didn't come out!" he laughed. "That's a problem I have, I guess. Good thing I didn't actually see her in person, that would've been a little bit more troublesome."

Well, if Upton, who's currently in New York, manages to swing the trip to L.A., Davidson better figure out how to kick his nerves. But it does sound like the teen knows how to treat a lady.

"If she has time I'll make it worth her while. Throw out the red carpet, anything she wants," he said.

Indeed, Davidson already has a few ideas about how to make prom night more fun for the two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl, starting with renting a "pimped-out old Rolls-Royce," to be paid for with money he's saved "through business things." (Ah, youth.)

"I think I could swing it, hopefully, if some things fall into place, some investments," the teen told us. "Then maybe go to Nobu, I hear she likes Nobu a lot...Get some flowers involved. I'm still processing it because this has happened so fast. I can get creative. It will be a great night."

He even promises "unequivocally" that he'll manage to get his usual 11 p.m. curfew lifted, just this once.

No wonder Upton told E! News today at the Samsung TV Launch at the Museum of American Finance in New York that Davidson's "sweet" invitation was the "cutest" video she'd ever seen.
