Perhaps Anthony Anderson was so anxious to compete with Dulé Hill as Hoda Kotb's favorite new guest-host that the pressure got to him.
During the fourth hour of Wednesday's Today, as he was filling in for Kathie Lee Gifford, the actor-comedian was supposed to introduce a segment featuring Olympus Has Fallen star Dylan McDermott by describing him as playing an ex-secret service agent involved in a major "plot twist"—only that's not quite what Anthony said. Instead the actor said "t--t pissed." Whoops!
The tongue twister elicited guffaws from the Today anchor who responded, "We are in trouble." While Anderson put his hand to his mouth, embarrassed by the gaffe, and apologized.
