Joss Stone

This was one surprise Joss Stone didn't exactly enjoy.

The 25-year-old English singer took the stand today in the trial for the alleged murder plot against her by Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, at Exeter Crown Court in London, and revealed that she had no idea anyone was out to get her until arrests were made in June 2011, according to BBC.

"Apart from someone [police] coming around to say someone is trying to kill me, it was a really nice day," Stone told the court.

She goes on to explain that her security company had never received any sort of threat, and even admitted that she wouldn't turn on her alarm most of the time or lock the front door.

"I've lived in Devon for a long time and nobody really shuts their door," the star stated. (Don't worry, that's now changed.)

Notes found by authorities suggested that Stone was targeted by the two accused men because of her connections to the royal family, and when asked about her relations with them, Joss simply said she had "sung for them a couple of times," the first being the Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium in 2007.

"After that, there was another charity event for [Prince] Harry," she continued. "I guess they just invited me because they thought it was nice to invite me."

Earlier today, prosecutors revealed that Bradshaw and Liverpool allegedly planned to decapitate the singer before dumping her body in a river.

They were reportedly found with a samurai sword, hammer and knives, as well as gloves and black bags, when they were arrested in June 2011 near Stone's home in Devon after suspicious neighbors reported them to authorities.
