As she's possibly the most buzzed-about celebrity mama-to-be, Kim Kardashian is certainly making every effort to stay healthy and fit during her pregnancy.

We've spotted the brunette beauty leaving the gym countless times since announcing her bun in the oven with baby daddy Kanye West, and we're positively loving her healthy glow and commitment to fitness.

Turns out Kardashian has tapped top trainer Gunnar Peterson to keep her on track during each trimester with a tailored workout designed especially for her during this special time.

Peterson, who has also worked with Sofia Vergara, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez, tells E! News he focuses on weights and low impact cardio (Kim uses both a treadmill and an elliptical) with an emphasis on the heart rate (130-140 is ideal) to build the strength new moms need to carry the baby, lift car seats and more, while also focusing on the overall benefits of fitness so new moms stay motivated and can easily get back to the shape they were in prebaby.

"We use everything from dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, ropes and cables. For cardio, we'll use the antigravity treadmill and recumbent bikes," he says. "The recumbent bike is really great for pregnant clients because the seat tilts back to accomodate the belly. Clients can lean back more and still elevate the heart rate, but it's a little more comfortable for them."

The fitness expert also emphasizes that keeping new moms like Kim in shape helps them from feeling overwhelmed, and he does everything he can to boost confidence throughout the pregnancy.

"Burning calories and staying superslim isn't the goal. It's all about the baby first, and we want a healthy baby," he says. "There's no need to be that aggressive at this stage."

As for workout adjustments specifically for baby mamas, Peterson skips ab workouts as well as anything that involves excessive pounding movements, and modifies each workout to the client, even if it's just for 20 minutes a day.

"Workouts for pregnant ladies don't have to be grueling. There's no typical workout. I write a different workout for every person every day. The body is always trying to adapt, which gives it something to strive for so it doesn't just go into coasting mode."

"With somebody like Kim, she's got a lot of things going on, she has a number of projects and she has to allocate her energy accordingly: She's shooting a show, she has product lines, she has media responsibilities. She can't blow it all in the gym and then not be able to move the rest of the day; so as the trainer, I have to temper that and make sure that this services all the other things she has to do and not take from it."

Whew! Sounds like this beautiful baby mama is in good hands!
