Chris Cline: 5 Things to Know About Elin Nordegren's Billionaire Beau

E! News has the facts on the man dating Tiger's former model missus

Elin Nordegren is trading up. Big-time.

With reports surfacing that Tiger Woods' ex-wife has been quietly dating billionaire coal magnate Chris Cline for the past couple of months, E! News got to wondering just what makes these two tick.

Here are five things you need to know about Nordegren's new beau (not to be confused with American Pie guy Chris Klein, natch):

1. He Beats Tiger in the Money Game: With a net worth of  $1.2 billion according to Forbes, Cline doesn't need to worry about making ends meet. He's also got one heck of a luxury yacht, the 164-foot Mine Games, that he and the former Swedish model can use at their leisure. Forbes ranks him the 377th richest person in the United States.

2. It's a Dirty Job: Hailing from a family of coal miners (his grandfather was a miner in West Virginia), Cline made most of his fortune from his privately held firm Foresight Reserves LP, after getting into the dirt business at the behest of his father and mining the rolling hills of Appalachia.

3. He Could Be Elin's Father: At 53, the billionaire is 20 years Elin's senior. But besides a lot of dough (Elin is said to have received around $100 million in her split from Tiger), the pair have parenthood in common, not to mention divorce. Cline, who's been married twice, has two sons and two daughters while Elin has a boy, Charlie, and daughter, Sam, from her marriage to the golf superstar.

4. He and Nordegren Are Neighbors: Talk about convenient. Cline owns a magnificent estate in the posh Seminole Landing development in Palm Beach, Fla., the same gated community where Nordegren built her new $12 million oceanfront mansion from scratch following her split from Tiger.

5. He's Generous: Chris is also known for his charitable efforts, having given a $5 million endownment to West Virginia's School of Medicine and its athletics department two years ago. He also donated $5 million to his alma mater, Marshall University, to fund the Cline Family Foundation for sports medicine research. Clearly he's into sports. But he's not that giving: Cline was also the victim of an attempted extortion plot along with Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein brought against them by D-list actor Vivek Shah last August. Lucky for Chris, the dude was arrested.
