Demi Lovato Reveals Older Half Sister She Never Knew: "I Thought That Was So Incredible"

Singer tells New York radio station the half-sibling just contacted her a few months ago

Demi Lovato nonchalantly spilled some big beans today.

Speaking to New York's WBLI while sitting in an airport lounge waiting for a flight, the "Heart Attack" singer revealed on Dana & Jeffrey in the Morning that she has an older half sister she never knew about until last year!

"She's in her thirties," Lovato said. "She's my half sister and I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20."

Lovato just hit the big 2-0 in August.

"I asked her, 'Why haven't you ever contacted me?'" the pop star recalled, "and she just said, 'Well, because I never wanted you to think I wanted anything from you. So I've just kind of been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship,' and I just thought that was so incredible."

Sounds like Lovato's discovery of a new branch on her family tree was a welcome revelation!

But that's where the revelation buck stopped, because Lovato was most certainly not willing to dish on her Valentine's Day dinner with old flame Wilmer Valderrama.

"Some things you just have to keep to yourself," she said good-naturedly. "No, I would not like to comment."

Lovato's rep has not yet responded to a request for further comment on the new (to her) member of the singer's family.
