Barbara Walters' 2013 is not off to a great start.

First the 83-year-old cut her head, then she developed a low-grade fever, and now the famed journalist has contracted chickenpox! Monday on The View, Whoopi Goldberg gave fans an update on Barbara's newest ailment.

"You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature, but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood," Whoopi said. "Barbara has the chickenpox. She'd never had it as a child. So now she's been told to rest, she's not allowed any visitors, and we're telling you, Barbara, no scratching!"

"We love you. We miss you. We just don't want to hug you," Goldberg quipped.

Poor Babs! Wishing her a speedy, scratch-free recovery.
