Eddy Chen/FOX Pluck up your courage, ladies. Just in time for the return of Glee, McKinley High is holding a Sadie Hawkins dance. Why? Because one of New Directions' girl members is crushing on a guy in the group!
Fox released a sneak peek at the episode, which features castmembers Jenna Ushkowitz, Melissa Benoist, Jacob Artist and Blake Jenner teasing all the awkward dancing, crushing and more fans can expect from the episode.
"Tina came up with the idea to have a Sadie Hawkins dance because she has an ulterior motive," Ushkowitz explains, "because she has a crush on Blaine." Say whaaa?!?!
So does her plan work? Well, we do see Tina and Blaine cutting a rug in the behind-the-scenes clip, but we're guessing there won't be a grand romance on the horizon for these two.
One couple experiencing some major romance during the dance is Jake (Artist) and Marley (Benoist), who are seen slow-dancing. "You are the most amazing person I've ever met," he tells her, "and I somehow convinced you to be into me." Awww alert! Benoist calls the episode "a huge Jarley" and teases "a breakthrough" for their budding relationship. But what about poor, poor Ryder (Jenner)?! "It's OK," Jenner says.
Glee returns Thursday, Jan. 24 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
