Seal Files His Own Papers in Heidi Klum Divorce

Singer cites "irreconcilable differences" and seeks joint custody of couple's four children

Just four days after Heidi Klum filed divorce papers from Seal, the singer filed his own papers on Tuesday to end their nearly seven-year marriage.

Like Klum, 38, Seal cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for split, according to court documents obtained by E! News. While the Project Runway host requested primary physical custody of their children, Seal has requested joint legal custody of Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

And while Klum and Seal, 49, won't spend the rest of their lives in wedded bliss, that doesn't mean there's any ill will between them…

"The thing that I'm most proud about this great woman who married, and I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart, is that together she has given me four incredible gifts ... four beautiful children," Seal said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show shortly after going public with his and Klum's split.

"She is still, in my opinion, the most wonderful woman in the world. I think our priority was to remain civil and do this thing with dignity," he added. "We still very much love each other."
