Comic actor Larry Miller was rushed to the emergency room on Tuesday after hitting his head in a nasty spill, E! News has learned.

So what happened?

The funnyman's publicist tells E! News that the bump occurred while Miller was hanging out at a Los Angeles bar following a taping of Adam Carolla's daily podcast show. After talking with a group of people outside, he returned to the bar but lost his footing and accidentally fell, hitting the back of his head on the hard floor.

Luckily, bar patrons rushed to his side and called 911, and the comedian was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was treated and then moved to an ICU. Miller will remain there for a few days more for observation, but doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

The thesp is best known for roles in such big-screen hits as Pretty Woman and Eddie Murphy's remake of The Nutty Professor as well as a series of quirky characters in such Christopher Guest mockumentaries as Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind. Most recently, Miller appeared in Valentine's Day and on TV in episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and NCIS.

Get well soon, Larry!
