It looks like we weren't the only ones who watched a choked-up Christie Brinkley talk about her ongoing battles with ex-husband Peter Cook on the Today show yesterday.

Cook, too, heard what his former spouse had to say about him and immediately fired back by making his own appearance Wednesday on the very same morning program.

"The entire content of her interview was a lie where she claims that I am harassing and bullying her on a daily basis," Cook said. "We haven't had a conversation in four and a half years and we haven't emailed each other in two years. So this perception that I am harassing and bullying her is nonsense."

As for Brinkley getting emotional during her interview and saying that Cook is always trying to "destroy" any joy or success she might have, Cook called her welling-up nothing more than "crocodile tears."

"Ever since the separation, she has been on a campaign to smear me," he said, adding that it is nothing more than an attempt to "make herself relevant in the media again."

Cook concluded by sharing a similar sentiment as Brinkley did, that of peace.

"I want peace for my family. I want peace for myself," he insisted. "I want to be able to do my job, see my kids and live without the Christie Brinkley shadow over me. That's all I ask."
