El DeBarge is off el hook.

The former frontman of family singing group DeBarge will not be charged in connection with his arrest Monday on suspicion of drug possession with intent to sell.

So, how did the "Rhythm of the Night" crooner end up in the clear?

Simply, there was insufficient evidence to file charges against either DeBarge or another man busted at the scene, according to the LAPD.

Police had allegedly found drugs under a nearby car when they pulled over on White Oak Avenue in Encino, Calif., yesterday afternoon, suspecting they were seeing a narcotics transaction taking place.

DeBarge, who was later released from custody after posting $30,000 bail, and the other man denied any wrongdoing at the time of their arrest.

Good news for Eldra "El" DeBarge, who's been arrested three times for alleged drug possession since 2001. The 50-year-old singer also did a stint in rehab last year.

As of now, he's still part of the lineup for Funk Fest in St. Petersburg, Fla., happening April 6-7.
