Rumors that late singer Whitney Houston's 19-year-old daughter is planning to marry her "adopted brother," Nick Gordon, got a big boost over the weekend after she was photographed in Atlanta over the weekend sporting a massive rock on her engagement finger that once belonged to her mother.
Reports of a burgeoning romance between Bobbi Kristina and the 22-year-old Gordon surfaced last week when the aspiring singer and actress tweeted a confirmation of sorts: "I love sleeping with big brudder (: only person that helps my insomnia B!! Hah (:"
Gordon is not Bobbi Kristina's actual blood-related sibling. He was taken in by Houston several years ago after he considered joining the army to escape his family problems. Bobbi Kristina and Nick have since become inseparable, particularly in the wake of her mother's untimely death, and have been spotted holding hands and kissing in public.
The bling the younger Houston debuted on her ring finger when the couple went shopping is said to be valued at $250,000.
Gordon acknowledged in tweets last week that the two have gotten "a little closer" and slammed "haters" for prying into their lives. He has since closed his Twitter account and denied he and Bobbi Kristina were dating, telling ABC News, "We're just close—just going through her mom's passing and grieving together."
The ring sighting probably won't help the pair dispel the relationship speculation.
Houston's family have declined to comment on the matter.
