Willow Smith, singer and daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, was sporting a controversial pair of Y-3 Oriah heelless ankle boots yesterday in SoHo as she made her way to her aunt Beyonce's for a little visit with Blue Ivy Carter.

The question isn't so much whether or not the boots are stylish. Wedge sneakers have been spotted on fashionable celebs like Victoria Beckham, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jourdan Dunn, but heels—or lack thereof—on an 11-year-old?

There's just no question...

This "21st Century Girl" has got ‘tude. Her outrageous, but usually age-appropriate, hairstyles and outfits spark debate, and we applaud her for that kind of bold, fashion-forward thinking. But when did it become acceptable for a child to wear heels, much less $690 heels?

If she's not careful, the "Whip My Hair" singer is going to end up with a bad case of whiplash, or a sprained ankle.

Will you be buying your daughter a pair of these heelless booties?
