Justin Bieber isn't the only one who believes in never saying never.

The pop star's mom, Pattie Mallette, is about to make a name for herself as an author after it was announced today that she will be writing a memoir.

It was also revealed that her son is contributing to the autobiography as well.

Bieber has agreed to write the foreword for the book titled Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom.

The tome, according to publisher Revell, will chronicle Mallette's troublesome past involving abuse, addiction and a suicide attempt at 17. She later became pregnant with Bieber when she was 18.

Mallette says she wants her story to reach those who have experienced similar issues.

"I want them to see that no matter how desperate their circumstances may be, they can have hope for a better future," Mallette said in a statement.

The book is scheduled to be released Sept. 18.
