Lindsay Lohan's latest appearance on Saturday Night Live didn't have to peak with that Real Housewives of Disney sketch.

It turns out that Tina Fey was scheduled to guest star on this past weekend's episode, which marked Lohan's fourth time hosting and first time in almost six years, but—as seen on TV—Fey didn't make it.

Is it possible the 30 Rock star had reservations about working with her former Mean Girls protégée? Doesn't sound like a very Liz Lemony, girl-power thing to do. Well, hang onto your bags of Sabor de Soledad, because that rumor is...

So false!

Fey didn't flake, she had two sick kids to take care of!

The Emmy winner's rep confirms to E! News that Fey intended to be on SNL but stayed home to be with 5-year-old Alice and 7-month-old Penelope.

In fact, Fey herself was cowriting the bit, which would have featured her showing up during Lohan's monologue, according to the New York Daily News.

But even if Fey had been able to start Lohan off on an even funnier foot (it was a pretty good monologue anyway), reviews of the rest of the show were mixed.

"Lindsay Lohan hasn't made me laugh yet," author and Rolling Stone contributor Touré tweeted during the broadcast. "Can we still replace her with Jon Hamm?"
