Emma Watson is getting ready to bring on the Bling!

The Harry Potter actress has joined the cast of Sofia Coppola's highly anticipated flick Bling Ring, about the infamous group of L.A. teenagers who three years ago caused a sensation by burglarizing the homes of celebs including Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

But whom will Watson be playing?

Could she be stepping into the towering stilettos of the gang's most notorious member, Pretty Wild star Alexis Neiers, who ended up serving a 30-day jail sentence?

We'll just have to hang tight for now until full casting details are announced.

Although Watson has boarded the project, her rep says not other detais are immediately available, including which role the chic Brit will be playing.

Here's what we do know: Coppola will write and direct the project, and the L.A. native won't have to stray too far for the shoot.

She tells Variety, "I'm excited about the young cast we're assembling and I'm looking forward to shooting on location here in Los Angeles."

From late 2008 through 2009, the notorious Bling Ring stole an estimated $3 million worth of jewelry and designer clothing from stars like Rachel Bilson and Audrina Partridge in addition to Hilton and Lohan.

Neiers was sentenced to 180 days in jail for burglarizing Orlando Bloom's home, but she ended up spending only 30 days behind bars.

In a naughty twist, Neiers was locked up in the same facility that also housed Lohan.

After her release, the onetime E! reality star told E! News, "I've had time to reflect on my life and the choices that led me to this experience, left alone in my cell 23 hours a day and having everything stripped away but the bare essentials. I did a lot of soul searching."

If Watson does end up playing Neiers, one thing's for sure: The actress has already got her research work all laid out for her!
