Why Is Britney Spears' Dad Asking for a Raise?

As head of daughter's conservatorship, he already gets $16,000 a month! Why could he possibly want more?

Madonna used to talk about being super embarassed to get all sexy onstage when her dad was in the audience.

Britney Spears? Not so much.

In fact, the pop star, whose Femme Fatale tour kicks off tonight in Sacramento, Calif., has her father Jamie running the whole show!

And he's looking to get paid for doing the job of several men.

According to documents filed in L.A. Superior Court, Jamie is asking Judge Reva Goetz—who has been overseeing Britney's conservatorship for three years—to sign off on an undisclosed raise because he will "essentially be directing the tour and managing the logistics of the tour."

There were five people more or less taking care of business during Brit's 2009 Circus tour, and now there will only be two staffers on the job.

A hearing is set for July 7 to discuss the request.

In the meantime, Jamie Spears has been collecting $16,000 per month (not including $1,200 to rent office space) since 2008 for overseeing his daughter's financial, legal and medical affairs.
