William & Kate's Royal Wedding

Prince Harry is chillin'. Literally.

It's a good thing His Royal Highness has some warm duds because his exit from the Arctic Circle has been delayed, E! News has learned.

Harry, who journeyed to the North Pole as part of an expedition for the Walking With the Wounded charity, was due to leave the region and head home to the U.K.

But there turned out to be a big hitch.

"Prince Harry was due to leave the Arctic today, but owing to damage to the runway at Ice Camp Barneo his departure has been delayed," says the rep. "He will now spend an extra day trekking with the team and return to Barneo tonight to await the first available flight."

The spokeswoman maintained that the holdup is expected to last less than 48 hours, but noted that "given the unpredictable nature of conditions in the Arctic the situation may change."

 Talk about cold comfort.

The good news is if all goes well, the 26-year-old royal should make it home in plenty of time to serve as best man at  older brother Prince William's April 29 wedding to Kate Middleton, expected to be one of the biggest TV draws in years with an estimated worldwide audience of more than 2 billion.

We just hope Harry delivers on that speech.
