Late last week, a singer by the name of Alexis Houston denied a gossip website report that she had an affair with Matt Lauer.
But the denial apparently wasn't good enough, because...
Alexis sought more publicity held a press conference earlier today to deny it again with everywhere-you-turn-there-she-is-attorney Gloria Allred by her side. (They welcomed faced the media in front of a restaurant, where Gloria was taking Alexis to lunch for her birthday. How sweet.)
Not only did Alexis, who reportedly has claimed to be Whitney Houston's half-sister (something the Grammy winner strongly denies), complain that her privacy has been oh-so invaded by the media because of the Lauer link, but she even offered an explanation of how it may have started.
Ya see, Alexis says she does have a boyfriend named Matt. But his last name isn't Lauer, silly. It's Lunsford.
Just another case of mistaken initials. Don't ya hate when that happens?
As for the Whitney claims, Alexis told reporters that she'll deal with that at another press conference time.
