Italian food and criminal justice apparently agree with Orlando Bloom.

Two days after Pretty Wild star Alexis Neiers was sentenced to 180 days in jail for her role in burglarizing the actor's house, Bloom was all smiles as he faced the paparazzi Wednesday following a lunch date in Beverly Hills.

An eyewitness tells E! News that Bloom repeatedly told the shutterbugs to "Have a great day!" and appeared to be in "very good spirits" as he walked out of eatery Enoteca Drago to his waiting car.

Not so surprisingly, the Pirates of the Caribbean star also pointedly ignored all questions about Neiers or the burglary case.

Why ruin a perfectly good day?

Thanks to Neiers copping a plea, Bloom avoided having to make a court appearance like these stars.
