While it's been known for quite some time now that Cory Monteith and Taylor Swift are not romantically involved, the hope that they'll get together continues. After all, the two would make a pretty pair, no?
Sure enough, such wishful thinking is front and center during the Glee guy—and birthday boy's—appearance today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"We're just friends," Cory, 28, assures the inquiring talk-show hostess. "I don't know where the time is to date these days."
Naturally, Ellen doesn't let him off the hook that easily…
"You'd be a cute couple…maybe," she says.
"She's lovely," Cory points out.
"She is lovely and you're lovely. Two lovely people," continues Ellen.
"Stop it. Listen to her!" Cory tells the audience.
"Yeah, listen to me," insists Ellen. "Think about it."
Of course, whether Cory ends up contemplating a hookup remains to be seen, especially since he'll be be spending this summer with not one, not two, but three other lovely ladies.
