The Oscar winners go to the movies, but was the Nine starlet wearing an engagement ring?

Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem were spotted just the other night checking out a movie at the Mann Chinese 6 theaters in Hollywood.

"Javier was waiting for her outside of the bathroom," a spywitness says. "When she came out, they walked away with their arms around each other."

Unfortunately, our source wasn't close enough to see if Cruz was sportin' an engagement-esque ring. Rumors have been swirling recently that the No Country for Old Men star popped the question.

Cruz has refused to confirm or deny the buzz. "One thing I don't do, I don't lie about my personal life," she told David Letterman a couple of weeks ago when the talk-show host asked if they had plans to wed. "It's sacred to me. It's my life. But I don't give details about it because I am allergic to that."

No word yet if Bardem will be joining Cruz tomorrow night at the L.A. premiere of her new musical movie, Nine.

On Saturday night, Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, Bridget Moynahan, Sara Gilbert, Burlesque director Steven Antin, Rachel Zoe and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet hit movie producer Jennifer Klein's annual holiday soiree. Guests enjoyed Grey Goose martinis and Jello shots until wee hours. Jamie Foxx was one of the last to arrive at about midnight and closed the party down at 3 am.

Kiefer Sutherland went almost unnoticed at the Luc Robitaille Hockey Hall of Fame Gala at Club Nokia on Sunday until he placed the winning bid ($10,000!) on a portrait of the hockey great created live on the stage by performance artist David Garibaldi.

Scrubs star Zach Braff made a rare nightclub appearance on Friday at L.A.'s Crown Bar hosted by Allison Melnick, where he hung out with costar Donald Faison and Faison's girlfriend, Cacee Cobb for Cobb's birthday.

Also there? Twilight hottie Nikki Reed, who chatted with some friends before calling it an early night.
