Glee's fake-pregnancy storyline went bust. The show's ratings went boom.

Take that, Grammys.

Last night's Glee scored its biggest audience of the season (estimated 8.2 million viewers), Fox said, and outperformed CBS' Grammy nominations special (6.5 million) in a time-slot sing-off. Among young adults and teens, the gap between the two shows was even wider.

But before the glee-club kids get too geeked, it must be noted that NBC's Law & Order: SVU (8.3 million) drew the overall larger audience at 9 p.m., and that CBS' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (a night-best 10.7 million) took a back-sleigh seat to nobody.

Take that, Mr. Schuester. (But congrats anyway on finally wising up.)
