Prince Harry and Meghan Markle braved the winter weather on Friday for their royal visit to Bristol.

The Duchess of Sussex kept warm in a stunning coat by William Vintage and a dress by Oscar de la Renta. She also accessorized her look with olive green Sarah Flint boots and a matching Ralph Lauren clutch and wore her hair down with loose waves. Meanwhile, her hubby looked sharp in a gray coat, black sweater and gray pants.

Even the cold weather couldn't keep royal admirers away, and a group of children from the local Abbey Wood Nursery School bundled up to give the royals a warm welcome. Despite the frigid temperature, the duke and duchess made sure to stop by and greet the young well-wishers before heading inside the Bristol Old Vic.

Meghan greeted the children first. But after a young boy asked about Harry's whereabouts, she brought him over, too. The prince shook a few of the children's hands and asked if they were keeping warm. In a video captured by royal contributor Omid Scobie, Meghan could also be heard saying the children did "an excellent job waving their flags."

The couple also showed some sweet PDA and held hands as they greeted the crowd.

Once inside, Meghan and Harry met a 3-year-old child named Ballerina Ocean. After shaking Meghan's hand, the child told the royal, "Your hand is cold."

"My hands are cold? Thank you for warming them sweetie," Meghan replied. "Ballerina Ocean, I think you are going to be everyone's favorite person of the day."

During their visit, the royals were shown examples of sound techniques used in theater and learned about the opportunities the theater offers young people outside of school. In addition, they watched a group of young performers take part in a workshop.

Later on, the two visited the charity One25, an organization that helps women break free from street-sex work, addiction and other issues. In addition to meeting with volunteers, the royals packed lunches and warm clothing items to be distributed to those in need. Meghan even had the idea to write messages of love and empowerment on banana peels.

"I was thinking about this the other day," she said. "I saw this program this woman had started in the States on a school lunch program when on each of the bananas she wrote an affirmation or something to make the kids feel really empowered. I thought it was the most incredible idea, this small gesture."

After their visit, Meghan and Harry headed to Empire Fighting Chance, an organization that aims to improve children's lives through boxing. Not only does it strive to improve their physical and mental health, but it also aims to help them learn discipline, self-control, and other skills. Harry and Meghan even received their own boxing gloves.

It won't be long until Meghan and Harry have their own child. The duchess is pregnant and expected to give birth this spring.
