Rumor has it that the twins who play baby Lily on Modern Family (Ella and Jaden Hiller) have been locked away with their lawyers for months in an effort to negotiate a higher salary for next season. But apparently they were demanding too much, and after flipping the conference table over, they stormed out. And that's why Modern Family has to recast Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) daughter.

We are totally kidding, of course—as far as we know those girls and their parents are not divas—but there is a recast in the works. So what's the deal?

And did Elizabeth Hurley just get a Wonder Woman consolation prize? We've got those answers, plus news on The Vampire Diaries, Glee and much more in today's TV update…

Modern Family producers have posted a casting notice for Lily, asking for an "Asian, 3- to 4-year-old daughter of Mitchell and Cameron." Jesse told us earlier this year that a recast was possible, since Lily is supposed to be a lot older by now, and it looks like we'll be getting toddler Lily next season! The casting notice did say it was for a series regular, so put that one-episode time-jump theory back in your pocket and save it for another time.

Gossip Girl: Elizabeth Hurley, whom we almost saw on the train wreck that was Wonder Woman, has found a consolation prize in the form of a role on Gossip Girl. According to TVLine.com, she will be playing Diana Payne, a self-made media giant who will impact the whole gang of Upper East-Siders, and especially Gossip Girl herself.

White Collar: There are new hot photos of Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer filming. Look at all the pretty! You're welcome.

How I Met Your Mother: Martin Short will replace Dave Foley as Marshall's (Jason Segel) new boss at the environmental law firm next season, Vulture reports. Foley's pilot, How to Be a Gentleman, was picked up for next season, so he won't be available. Enter Short. We are definitely OK with this swap.

The Vampire Diaries: Executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson chatted with EW.com about Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) new power/curse: seeing his dead girlfriends. "Are they there for good? Are they there for bad? It will once again be another twisty story. It's gonna take a lot of turns and also involves some unlikely participants," says Kevin.

Sons of Anarchy: File this one under "uncomfortable yet awesome casting choice." TVGuide.com is reporting that David Hasselhoff will appear on Sons of Anarchy in October as Dondo (character naming perfection), a well-endowed former porn star turned porn producer.

Glee: Ryan Murphy was serious about that guest star ban on season three, and praise Groff for that. Wait, Jonathan Groff is a guest star. Hold on, we're gonna get Ryan on the phone. Meanwhile, Kristin Chenoweth tells Zap2it that it's "a bummer" that April Rhodes won't be back next season. "But he needs to get his show back, so I get why he's doing that," she says.

Breaking In: One of WWK's favorite departed new series is showing some signs of life. Fox has renewed the options for all the Breaking In actors until November 15, according to Deadline.com. Nothing to get too excited about, but maybe not all hope is lost?
