We can only hope that Laura Prepon isn't a Method actor. Otherwise, we'd be seriously concerned for her blood-alcohol levels right about now.

That's because the former That '70s Show star has been tapped to do the impossible: play E!'s own late-night goddess Chelsea Handler in the pilot version of NBC adaptation's of her bestselling book Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea.

And here's the good news: everyone can exhale! The Chelsea Lately host has already given her seal of approval. At least, we think that's what she gave…

Prepon will play (sorry, Chelsea) a younger version of the caustic comedian as she navigates life as a single (and oh so ready to mingle) waitress.

"Besides both of us being the youngest of big families, both being from New Jersey, and both of us coming from multiple religious backgrounds, she's salty and sexy," Handler tells E! News of her portrayer. "She's got the right attitude, and as far as we know, she's not pregnant."

The real question is, how does she feel about rappers? 'Cause that would really be the clincher.
