Well, boo. Another TV show that seemed to hold promise has bitten the dust.
According to reliable insiders, NBC has decided to pull the plug on J.J. Abrams new spy series Undercovers after airing only seven episodes and will not be picking up the "back nine" episodes for the season. New episodes will air on Nov. 10, Nov. 17 and Dec. 1.
But there's a silver lining...
Any and all Lost fans should be crossing fingers that this may free up J.J. to work on a certain Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson project. "The people we're working with are among my favorite creative people," J.J. told us of the potential pilot.
Not to mention, ABC sources tell me that they're still hoping to reboot Alias someday. How about now, alphabet peeps? J.J. told me ABC has the rights to do the project without him—"If they wanted to redo it, they could do it with or without me. It's not really my decision." But certainly the fans would much prefer that the o.g. mastermind be on board.
