All in favor of American Idol's dreamiest dreamboat Casey James heading home tonight, say "aye"? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

That's what we thought. But bad news, folks: Casey actually agrees with Simon Cowell's harsh comments from last night's show, and tells us he is predicting his own downfall tonight...

"I might not be here next week, it's reality," Casey told us with a shrug backstage last night. "I could have went last week. Every week is blessing, and honestly, out of all of us, I absolutely deserve to go home tomorrow if you're going to base it on this performance"

Trust us, his remarks did not go over well with his fellow contestants. Through a sea of Awww, Casey, don't say thats, Crystal "Mamasox" Bowersox gave a playfully stern warning to the self-deprecating performer: "I'm gonna smack you, Casey James!"

Casey continued to plead his homebound case, though, kindly brushing off the praises of his four friends. "Let's face it, it wasn't one of my best. I'm not downplaying myself," he laughed. "All these guys really killed it and what [the judges] said is right on the mark. I am not a guy who's ever going to go out there and do something like that without my guitar."

That damn missing guitar really threw Casey for a loop, he teased, telling us he considered "knitting one small garment" as he performed last night, just to keep his hands occupied. (Yes, after a charming joke like that, we were putty in his hands!) "I looked into it, but there's just not enough time to get anything knit in one minute and thirty seconds, so I gave up on that," he teased. "I just decided to go with the awkward instead."

Our motto: If it ain't broke, don't fix it—and Casey James is so not broken.
