Another day, another Hunger Games casting announcement. We are thrilled.

And this time, you may have actually heard of (or at least recognize) the actor joining the heavy-on-the newbies cast.

Hunger fans, please welcome Wes Bentley as your new Seneca Crane!

Bentley has appeared in a long list of feature films including Ghost Rider, Jonah Hex, The Four Feathers and most notably, American Beauty, in which you may remember him as Ricky Fitts, Thora Birch's bad-boy love interest who has a thing for videotaping plastic bags—among other things.

Bentley will be taking on the role of Seneca, "Head Gamemaker" of the 74th Hunger Games, in which heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and childhood acquaintance Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are forced to compete against one another and 22 other young people in a life-threatening survival setting.

Is it us, or is Bentley much younger and hotter than we pictured Seneca? We could see Bentley more in the role of Seneca's successor, Plutarch. But hey, we're not complaining!

Now we just need a Cinna or Haymitch as sexy as Seneca!
