Morning Piss: Why Fry John Galliano and Not Charlie Sheen?

John Galliano’s reported anti-Semitic remarks make waves while Sheen’s make him a hero

Wow. That was fast.

Tuesday I joined the breathless Twitter legions fascinated by the freak show that is Charlie Sheen, and Wednesday I unfollowed him.

Not because I'm sober and Charlie calls us "Nazis" (which is pretty contemptible in itself, perpetuating that hateful term, but come on, the guy's admittedly sometimes totally trainwreck-watchable!), but because he's "reportedly" made another anti-Semitic remark.

Just the offensive reference above was enough. But there's more:

Remember when Charlie was so busy calling Two and Half Men creator Chuck Lorre "Chaim" and then later defended the questionable insult by asking if somebody called him Carlos—Sheen's given name—would it be an insult, as well?

Well, if you're repeatedly shouting it in a derisive, abusive rant, then yes, it is, Charles.

And then we have the equally disturbing case of fired Dior head designer John Galliano, who was shown the door after he allegedly spewed anti-Semitic remarks at a couple in a Paris café, as well as being caught on video slurring, "I love Hitler."

The worlds of fashion, government and celebrity could not have condemned this man quick enough. Pretty impressive.

However, few people stopped to perhaps wonder if the drunken man might have an abuse problem and wasn't speaking in his right mind—maybe he needs rehab?

Meanwhile, Charlie Sheen is accused of referring to his Jewish manager in a text (which Sheen says his ex-wife somehow concocted, sorry, Charlie, ain't buying) with incredibly reprehensible, derogatory language, and his Twitter and TV audiences multiply as a result.

This is so screwed up it's as pitiful as Sheen saying he's "underpaid."

I could go on with the ridiculousness spewing from this turd's mouth, but so many other folks are chattering about it, it's totally getting really boring. Just like Charlie and his hate.
