Jersey Shore Gang: "Everybody in Jersey's Drunk!"

JWoww, Ronnie, Vinny and The Situation talk Snooki and her “misunderstanding”

It was the guidette-be-gone heard around the world. Snooki, everybody's favorite poof-sporting shorty of the Jersey Shore, was plucked off her orange (and sloppily drunk) ass in N.J.'s Seaside Heights and charged with disorderly conduct, being a public nuisance and "criminally annoying others."

Now that Snooks has been let off the hook relatively scot-free—minus a verbal bitch slap and comparison to the much more notorious trainwreck, Lindsay Lohan—we wondered what her castmates thought of the whole ordeal:

"You know what, I feel like it was thrown out of proportion," Snooki's newest housemate (and self-declared partner-in-crime) Deena Cortese dished at Sunday's Video Music Awards.

"I didn't think Snooks did anything wrong. She was drunk, you know, and a crowd formed and whatever happened happened. But she was really just being herself. She wasn't being aggressive with anyone. It was harmless."

"You know, the Jersey Shore, that's what it's for," Deena fessed. A similar sentiment shared by Vinny Guadagnino.

"Oh! The big trial! For being a public nuisance! Twenty minutes in court!" He dramatically joked. "It's definitely a big misunderstanding, she got drunk one day, everybody in Jersey's drunk, and sometimes you spend the night in the drunk tank."

So what about that L.L. comparison? He says, "Nooo, far from Lindsay Lohan. She's a good girl."

"She's very positive about it. I'm sure everyone in this industry—like Lindsay Lohan—anything that every happens to us, we get judged more," Jenni (aka JWoww) defended her pal (and, uh, La Lohan). "But it is what it is and actually, I know she's just glad it's over with and she's ready to move on."

Seems most of the cast—and Snookers herself, we're sure—is just glad the whole friggin' thing is dunzo so they can get back to their regularly scheduled GTL.

"I'm happy it's over," DJ Pauly D confirmed. "She's such a good girl—she didn't belong in jail and she didn't belong in court. I don't agree with the judge's decision, but I'm glad she's out of it."

So, does the turntable twirlin', blow-out sporting stud think the judge was tougher on S 'cause she's so famous now?

"Absolutely they were tougher on her," he said without hesitation. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, who let his costars do most of the talking piped up and agreed, "They had to make an example out of her."

So, we leave the final verdict to Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino:

"She's made some mistakes and she's learned from them, and I heard what the judge said about her. I really think he kind of went at her a little bit, but at the end of the day I hope she'll never get in trouble again and stay away from that side of the law."
