Forget "The Greatest Love of All"—Whitney Houston is on her way to becoming the Greatest Comeback of All. Just one look at her this weekend, and I can tell you without a doubt that the songstress' road to recovery is going strong.

The multi-Grammy winner was on music maestro Clive Davis' arm when he and Quincy Jones were honored on Saturday night at Barbara Davis' 17th Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills benefiting juvenile diabetes. Other hobnobbing notables included Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Barry Manilow, Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, James Denton, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Jay Leno, Usher, Brooke Shields, Minnie Driver, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Davis, Paris and Nicky Hilton and media powerhouses like Sumner Redstone, Les Moonves and Tom Freston

But nothing compared to Houston. Her formfitting black Armani gown showed off her healthy physique. Her hair was perfectly highlighted and styled. She sparkled in more than $2 million worth of Chopard jewels. If she was at all anxious or nervous about making her first public appearance since filing for divorce from Bobby Brown, she didn't let it show. Houston was all smiles. Halle Berry said, "I love you," when the two embraced at Davis's table for what seemed like five minutes.

"I love you, too," Houston cooed back. "I love you, too. I love you, too." Berry then introduced Houston to her model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry. A few minutes later, Naomi Campbell ran over to Houston for a quick hug. While many thought Houston would perform, I can tell you there were never any plans for her to sing.

To Whitney, I say, take your time. Soak in all the love, respect and prayers that have been pouring in. No need to rush—your fans will be waiting for you when you decide you're ready. Until then, welcome back, and God bless.
