Punky Brewster, no more! Soleil Moon Frye is now Mother Earth.

The former child star is so concerned about our planet, she's now one of Hollywood's top eco-entrepreneurs. Her 3-year-old eco-friendly and organic L.A. children's boutique The Little Seed has caught the eye of celeb fans including Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Eric Dane.

We caught up with Frye earlier this week to see how she's passing on her gene for being green to daughters Poet, 5, and Jagger, 3...

First off, why do you think it is important to be green?
This is the only planet we have and we need to teach our kids to take care and nurture it... The more we educate our kids, the more responsibility they'll take and grow up with an understanding and compassion for our eco system. One of my favorite things to do is get them involved. We design the line [Little Seed] with my kids by picking low-impact dyes and fun organic materials to make them a part of the process.

How do you teach Poet and Jagger about being eco-friendly?
I make sure to educate them with little lessons like taking care of their surroundings, recycling and to just be aware of the environment and have a consciousness for it... Nowadays, the kids remind me to turn off the water and switch off the lights.

What kind of things do you do to be green around the house?
We try and conserve water, we unplug our computers often, we recycle and reuse on a regular basis and use our energy efficient appliances... We always like to come up with fun and creative ways to turn trash into treasure; like making shoe boxes into jewelry boxes and transforming milk bottles into vases.
