Why would Taylor Swift ever stand up for Kanye West?!

Leave it to the ego-inflated rapper to insist, during an on-stage rant last night, that the country cutie should have had Kanye's back after his infamous 2009 VMA outburst:

"Taylor never came to my defense in any interview and [she] rode the wave, and rode it and rode it!" he said during a rambling onstage rant last night at New York's Bowery Ballroom.

Huh? Yeah, we don't get it either.

West also blasted the media for how he believes it "exploited" George W. Bush's recent comment about the rapper. The former president said that West accusing him of not caring about African-Americans during Hurricane Katrina was one of his lowest points while in office.

"Look at how they exploited him," he ranted. "They said that he said that was his lowest moment. And as a mass, as America, we took that as a fact.

"If you look at the interview, he said, 'It's one of his lowest moments,' and he said it about 10 different things," West griped.

"But because the popularity of me, they exploited that to make you watch the interview and make you feel that he was stupider than ever...It shows you the way they try to villainize."
