We want to believe that Corey Haim was successfully battling his demons while making his last movie, Decisions.

Sadly, some on the set of the indie crime drama had their doubts.

"I knew something was up," Liana Mendoza, one of Haim's costars, tells us exclusively. "Other castmembers were talking about it...People would say, 'Whoa, he is cracked out right now.' "

However, Mendoza says she never saw Haim drink or do any drugs...

Mendoza says Haim was energetic, but in a "high" sort of way. "It was all love and hugs and kisses," she says. "Just talking all the time."

Haim would hang around set on his days off. "I just thought he might not want to be alone or something," Mendoza says. "He would talk to everyone. He would be hanging out, seeing what everyone's doing."

Was Haim's behavior suspect just because of his history, or was he really in trouble? Mendoza says no one knew for sure. "It seemed like he needed a lot of love," Mendoza says. "I don't know if it was because something from the past...but I feel like he needed a lot of love. He was so full of it and wanted so much of it."
