Rihanna's latest album was released Monday, and Tuesday night she threw herself a party to celebrate.

The bash for her Rated R album was held at Juliet Supperclub, where there was an open bar and an over-the-top cake presented from TLC's Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro.

"Rihanna requested that Buddy make the cake for her, so he presented it to her in person," an insider tells E! News of the five-tier confection made to her specifications: chocolate cake with chocolate mouse filling.

And that wasn't the only party treat Ri-Ri demanded. Also on the wish list...

Josh Lord, her tattoo artist from East Side Ink. "She wanted to have him on hand in case she decides to add to her tattoo collection," the source tells us.

Famous pals Jay-Z, Diddy, Tyson Beckford, Ashley Greene, Christian Siriano and Selita Ebanks also attended the fete.

But who was late to the party? It may have been Rihanna herself. Although one source says she arrived around 11 p.m., press on the red carpet were kept waiting until after 1 a.m. for the songbird to show.

Either she was way late to her own soiree, or she just wasn't in the mood to take photos and do interviews outside before getting her groove on.

Regardless, she was looking every inch the diva, rocking shades and a spiked gold dress. That's one way to keep people from getting too close to you!
