Not even the show's hiatus can stop the Dancing With the Stars curse from striking again.

Dancing pro and recently succeeded mirror-ball champ Mark Ballas has suffered a temporarily sidelining injury to his groin after weeks of strutting his limber stuff on the road.

Ballas apologized to the crowd during Saturday night's Los Angeles stop on Dancing With the Stars—The Tour and announced that his injury would require "a couple of weeks to heal," before nevertheless proving the show must go on and taking to the stage to perform dance numbers with former partner Kristi Yamaguchi and fellow pros Derek Hough and Lacey Schwimmer.

But while he may be sitting out a few dancing dates, the injury is not expected to affect tomorrow night's kickoff stop on the tour of the Ballas Hough Band, the five-piece group Ballas fronts with the reigning Dancing champ.

As it is, the band's tour dates mirror the dates and locations of the DWTS itinerary, and Ballas is expected to rejoin the hot-stepping tour before it winds down in February.

After that, both Ballas and Hough will return for the eighth season of Dancing With the Stars March 9.
