The cops don't waffle when it comes to busting Kid Rock.

The artist who can currently claim the number one album in the country was arrested early Sunday morning, in connection with an alleged brawl that took place between his entourage and a fellow customer at a Waffle House in Georgia.

The Rock N Roll Jesus purveyor had played a gig earlier that night at the Tabernacle concert hall in Atlanta.

Police told Atlanta's Fox 5 News that a male customer, identified as Harlen Atkins, recognized a woman in Rock's party and approached the group when they entered the eatery at about 5:15 a.m.

Atkins and the woman were observed having a heated exchange, and then, according to authorities, the confrontation escalated into a full-fledged fracas out in the parking lot.

Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and his pals left; his tour bus was pulled over a short time later.

The 36-year-old Michigan native and five others were taken into custody on a single charge of misdemeanor battery.

Atkins was treated at a nearby hospital for cuts and bruises and then charged with felony second-degree criminal damage to property, for allegedly breaking one of the Waffle House's windows.

Rock was released around 5 p.m. Sunday, after posting $1,000 bail. And the fans who helped Rock N Roll Jesus sell 172,000 copies its first week out of the gate couldn't get enough—Rock was hounded for autographs all the way back to his bus, which he graciously stopped and signed.

While it's unclear whether Rock himself was accused of throwing a punch or whether he was just along for the ride, the singer had no qualms last month about admitting that he socked it to Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards.

He called the scuffle with his ex-wife's ex-husband an "unavoidable" confrontation—instigated by Lee, he said—that was a result of a "lot of years of very disrespectful things" on Lee's side.

The fight occurred off-camera while Alicia Keys was doing her thing onstage at the Palms Hotel and Casino's main ballroom.

Las Vegas police charged Rock with misdemeanor battery, which carries a possible six-month jail sentence.
