Kate Hudson's Black Crowe is flying the coop.

The actress' husband, Chris Robinson, filed for divorce Friday after nearly six years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

The estranged couple, who tied the knot on New Year's Eve in 2000, have a two-year-old son, Ryder. Robinson, 39, has asked for joint custody and is not seeking spousal support.

This latest celebrity uncoupling doesn't exactly come as a surprise, despite their many public declarations of love for each other over the years. And not just because the missus declared last summer that she didn't believe in monogamy.

Hudson, 27, and her rocker hubby announced in August that they had separated, setting off a slew of rumors linking Hudson to her You, Me, and Dupree costar Owen Wilson.

Though the actors were spotted out and about more than a few times, with Wilson even meeting up with Hudson and her son in Hawaii while they were on vacation, both denied being anything more than friends.

But while Hudson and Robinson's marriage took a path oft traveled in Hollywood, their respective careers have remained on the level.

The Black Crowes, replete with a new keyboardist and guitar player after longtime members Eddie Hawrysch and Marc Ford left the band, just wrapped up a fall tour and released a double album of rare tracks, The Lost Crowes, in September. The Atlanta-based hard-rockers are also working on a new studio album—their first in six years—due out in 2007.

Up next for Hudson is the action-adventure romance Fools Gold, costarring Matthew McConaughey and Donald Sutherland. Then, per Variety, she'll head down the comedy aisle in Bride Wars, which is being developed as a star vehicle for the past Oscar nominee.
