Mary Travers hopes to be on the road to recovery soon.

The female third of Peter, Paul and Mary, who has been battling leukemia, says she has found a bone marrow donor and will undergo a transplant, per a post on the folk trio's official Website, peterpaulandmary.com.

"I feel a bit like a ball player hanging on third, waiting for a hit good enough to bring me home," the 67-year-old songbird writes. "We found a match--well, almost. Nine points out of 10. I hate to say this but it's close enough for folk music."

No word on when the transplant will occur, but Travers' publicist told the Associated Press that the surgery is expected to happen "soon."

Travers, who revealed her illness to fans in December, launched a donor search after unsuccessful chemotherapy treatment.

"I want to share with all of you just how much your words of encouragement, your prayers and all of your good thoughts and wishes have meant to me," Travers writes.

"The response that we have received on our Website has been overwhelming; it's impossible to really know just how many lives have been touched by our music these past 44 years," she continues. "I feel grateful beyond words and sustained by your many voices. I'm sure that it's part of what has given me the strength to fight and the drive to sing again. So I can only say, thank you, thank you!"

The trio, which won five Grammys in its heyday and sold millions of records to their folk-loving fans, has indefinitely postponed all spring concert dates.

Peter, Paul and Mary's latest effort, Carry It On, a five-disc retrospective that included all their greatest hits, including "Puff, the Magic Dragon" and "Blowin' in the Wind, was released in February 2004.
