Keith Richards' wingman needs some down time.

Veteran Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood has checked himself into rehab to deal with a longstanding addiction to the bottle.

"Following Ronnie's continued battle with alcohol, he has entered a period of rehab," his rep said in a statement. "His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery."

The move comes amid reports that Wood's home life is falling apart.

According to London's Daily Telegraph, wife Jo Wood, 53, has left her rocker husband after widespread reports of his binges and liaisons with Ekaterina Ivanova, a 19-year-old Russian-born waitress who has been bragging about her fling with the 61-year-old guitarist on her Facebook page.

Wood and Ivanova reportedly met in April at the London premiere of the Rolling Stones documentary, Shine a Light. According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Wood even painted a nude portrait of her (said painting, titled Photography Nude 11, now hangs in a Dublin gallery and is reportedly worth an estimated $16,000).

Ron and Jo Wood, a former model, have been married since 1985. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has admitted to struggling with alcoholism in the past. He had claimed to have sobered up in 2003, but then fell off the wagon and reportedly entered rehab in 2006.

No word on where Wood is being treated this time or how long he will remain.
