After a week of mud slinging, therapist dissing, porn exposing and affair disclosing, Christie Brinkley and estranged husband Peter Cook just cried uncle.

Lawyers for the battle-weary twosome pulled an all-nighter before emerging with an exit strategy about 6:15 a.m., Brinkley's lawyer's, Robert Stephan Cohen, told the court.

A beaming Brinkley, 54, seemed relieved as she appeared at the Central Islip, N.Y., courthouse.

"I'm really glad today that we found some peace," said Brinkley, conspicuously modeling a a pair of peace-sign earrings. "It's a very bittersweet moment. It really is the death of the marriage."

She also said she was "happy" about the outcome.

No wonder.

The supermodel appeared to achieve everything on her with list, getting full custody of children Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10, and maintaining ownership of all 18 properties in dispute.

"A mother's greatest fear is someone trying to take her children, that's what I was up against. I won custody and decision-making and that's all I really wanted," Brinkley said.

Cook, 49, will get parenting time with the children and a $2.1 million payment.

The family boat Sweet Freedom will be sold and the profit will be split. Cohen said that Brinkley's portion will be donated to The Retreat in East Hampton, a shelter for women and children of domestic violence.

"It's everything I wanted," said Cook.

Word of settlement talks spread yesterday, when at the behest of Brinkley and Cook the judge halted proceedings for more than four hours and the Uptown Girl said she was "praying for" a settlement. But testimony eventually resumed without any announcement.

The trial had been scheduled to last four weeks.

Brinkley filed for divorce from architect Cook, in September 2006, after 10 years of marriage, following his disclosure that he had an affair with a teenage office staffer.
