Let the haters give a toast: One of the biggest Top Chef villains' goose is cooked.
Marcel Vigneron, who filleted his way to runner-up status on season two of Bravo's foody reality competition, was busted for a DUI over the weekend in Laguna Beach, Calif.
Laguna Beach's finest pulled the gourmet guru over at approximately 12:45 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of speeding down Pacific Coast Highway.
Believing Vigneron to be under the influence, an officer administered a blood alcohol test and the chef blew it, registering higher than the state's legal limit of 0.08.
So much for scoring immunity in the quickfire challenge.
Vigneron was taken into custody and booked on a suspicion of drunken driving. He was released on $2,500 bail several hours later and, per the Orange County Register, managed to pack his knives and give a cooking demonstration at Laguna Beach's Festival of the Arts on Sunday.
The Las Vegas cook scored with the judges with his tasty meals and had no problem fricasseeing his fellow contestants during Top Chef's season season, which he ultimately lost to Ilan Hall.
